My cloud project is a personal baking blog for home bakers in Dubai and the rest of the UAE. There are thousands of baking recipes online, but almost all of them are written for cooler countries. They assume cold kitchens, cups instead of grams, and ingredients from American or European shops. Baking here is harder. In summer the heat climbs past 45 degrees, which softens butter, melts chocolate, and makes dough rise far too fast. Some ingredients are also tricky to find, or sold under different names. This blog is where I test recipes and rewrite them so they actually work in this climate.

Every post is about one bake: breads, cakes, cookies, and treats that use local favourites like date, cardamom, saffron, and pistachio. I share what went wrong, what I changed, and why, so readers can skip my mistakes. I also write about everyday things, like keeping dough cool in a hot kitchen, where to find good flour and butter in shops such as Spinneys, Carrefour, and Union Coop, simple halal swaps, and baking for Ramadan or big family gatherings. Everything is in grams and Celsius.

The blog runs on my own cloud server (Infrastructure as a Service) hosted on Microsoft Azure, and this proposal page is the first thing running on it.

My goal is to build something truly useful for one specific place, not another copy paste recipe site. It stays realistic because it grows one tested recipe at a time.

I chose the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial license (CC BY-NC 4.0) for this blog. The recipes, photos, and writing are all my own, and I am happy for other home bakers to share and reuse them. I only ask for two things. First, anyone who uses my work has to credit me by name. Second, they cannot sell it or earn money from it without asking me first. This keeps my blog open and helpful for the baking community, while still protecting the time and care I put into testing and writing every post.
